Description
The Safariland 7360RDS is a mid-ride duty holster built specifically for officers and armed professionals running a Glock 17 MOS with a light and a red dot optic mounted. The optic-cut design accommodates the raised profile of a slide-mounted red dot without compromising retention geometry — a consideration that standard holsters for iron-sight pistols cannot address.
Retention is handled by a stacked ALS/SLS system. The Automatic Locking System secures the pistol the moment it seats, engaging automatically without any manual step. The Self Locking System adds a rotating hood over the top of the pistol as a secondary barrier. To draw, the thumb sweeps the SLS hood forward and then trips the ALS release in a single practiced motion, producing a straight-up draw that transfers naturally from training to field use. The geometry of the release also makes a forced takeaway substantially harder to execute from an awkward angle.
The holster body is formed from SafariSeven, a proprietary nylon blend that remains dimensionally stable across temperature extremes and does not absorb water. The interior surface is smooth and non-abrasive to protect firearm finishes, while raised contact points keep the slide lifted slightly off the shell wall, giving debris a path to clear rather than pack between gun and holster. The mid-ride belt loop positions the pistol close to the body and is compatible with the full range of Safariland mounting platforms, so the holster can move between belt loops, drop-leg adapters, or duty belt attachments without replacing the holster itself. This specific variant fits the Glock 17 MOS paired with the SureFire X300 or X300U weaponlight.
