It rides on a paddle mount designed for belts up to 1.75 inches wide, sitting close to the body for a lower profile than most full-duty rigs without giving up active retention.

The core of the design is Safariland’s ALS — Automatic Locking System. As soon as the firearm is seated, the system locks it in place without any manual step from the shooter. The release is a thumb lever swept rearward as part of a natural firing grip, so the draw motion itself is the deactivation. There’s no secondary hood or rotating mechanism to manage, which keeps the stroke short and consistent whether you’re drawing under stress or during a routine administrative task.

The holster body is molded from Safariland’s SafariSeven material, a proprietary nylon blend that is non-abrasive to firearm finishes — important for anyone who draws and holsters repeatedly or carries a pistol with a coated or finished slide they’d rather not wear down. Raised interior standoffs keep the slide from sitting flat against the shell, which lets moisture and debris clear out rather than accumulate against the gun.
