Description
The Safariland Model 774 is a single-rifle-magazine pouch built for belt carry, suited to anyone who needs a spare AR-15 or M16 magazine on their hip without the bulk or weight of a larger multi-mag solution. It ships without a belt attachment, which is the key distinction of this variant: rather than locking you into a fixed clip-on loop, it gives you a clean base to pair with Safariland’s MLS or ELS mounting systems, or to integrate directly into a compatible belt rig you already own.
The body is made from SafariLaminate, Safariland’s layered construction that holds its shape under field conditions without the stiffness that makes some rigid polymer carriers awkward to reload under stress. A built-in tension device lets you dial in how firmly the magazine seats, so the pouch works across the slight dimensional variations between aluminum GI mags, Magpul PMAGs, and H&K 416 magazines without needing a separate purchase for each type.
The design is fully ambidextrous, and the carry angle is adjustable, meaning you can cant the magazine forward or rearward to match your dominant hand and your preferred draw stroke. That matters most when the pouch is worn on a duty belt with other gear competing for the same real estate. The finish is black, consistent across the SafariLaminate construction.
