Description
The Safariland INCOG-X is an inside-the-waistband holster built for concealed carry of the Glock 17 equipped with a large-format weapon light and a red dot sight. That combination of components raises the profile of most holsters to a point where concealment becomes a real compromise; the INCOG-X addresses that directly through a design that orients the gun closer to the body and positions the muzzle end to reduce printing under a cover garment.
The shell is formed from Boltaron, a thermoplastic material that holds its molded shape under heat and repeated use in a way that softer holster materials do not. This matters for retention: the holster maintains a consistent fit around the trigger guard regardless of how long it has been in service. Retention is passive, meaning the gun is held by the geometry of the shell itself rather than by an active locking mechanism, which keeps the draw stroke simple and repeatable. Tension is adjustable if the factory setting runs too stiff or too light for your preference.
The interior is lined with microfiber suede, which protects the pistol’s finish during the inevitable friction of daily carry and re-holstering. The exterior carries the same suede wrap, which reduces the holster’s tendency to snag against clothing during the draw. The mounting system supports multiple cant positions, so the carry angle can be adjusted to suit body type and draw preference rather than being fixed at a single point. This holster is set up for right-hand draw.
