Description

The Safariland INCOG-X is an inside-the-waistband holster built for serious concealed carry of the Staccato CS/C with a red dot optic mounted. It came out of a collaboration between Safariland and Haley Strategic Partners, and the design reflects input from people who actually carry concealed under demanding conditions rather than a purely catalog-driven product cycle.

The shell is thermoformed Boltaron, a thermoplastic that holds its shape under sustained body heat better than kydex alternatives that were not purpose-engineered for holster use, which matters because a holster that deforms against the body eventually loses consistent retention and a reliable draw stroke. The interior carries a suede finish that reduces the abrasion a bare slide or optic housing would otherwise accumulate over a full day of carry.

The INCOG-X is built around red dot compatibility from the ground up, meaning the optic sits in a relieved channel rather than a field-modified cutout, so the sight is protected without the draw being obstructed. The multi-positional mounting hardware lets the wearer adjust cant and ride height to suit body type and clothing without swapping hardware. That adjustability is what makes the same holster functional for appendix carry, a slightly more forward strong-side position, or cross-draw setups depending on the user’s preference and cover garment.

This is a right-hand configuration. The deep concealment geometry keeps the grip close to the body, which is the primary trade-off in any IWB design — reduced printing against the garment in exchange for a draw that requires deliberate technique to execute cleanly, particularly around the optic.
