Description
The Safariland Species is built for concealed carriers who want a purpose-designed inside-the-waistband holster rather than a universal fit compromise. It is cut specifically for the SIG P365XL and sized to carry appendix or strong-side without adding unnecessary bulk to the package.
The shell is constructed from SafariLaminate, a thermal-molded material that holds its shape under daily use and resists the wear that breaks down softer holster materials over time. The interior is suede-lined, which serves two purposes: it protects the firearm’s finish from abrasion and creates consistent resistance on the draw stroke. The trigger guard uses integrated passive retention rather than an active locking mechanism, so there are no levers or releases to manage — retention is set by the adaptable tension device, which lets you dial in how firmly the pistol sits without tools.
The mounting clip is both cantable and vertically adjustable, meaning you can shift ride height and cant angle to suit your body and carry position. The clip is sized for standard 1.5-inch belt widths. If you run a compact optic on your P365XL, the Species accommodates the Romeo Zero, RMR CC, Shield RMS, Shield RMS-C, Swampfox Sentinel, Hex Wasp, and J-Point footprints, as well as similar profiles. A dedicated sight channel keeps standard-height iron sights clear of the holster body on the draw.
This is the right-hand version in black, intended for shooters who prioritize a thin, form-fitting carry solution over adjustable retention levers or a modular platform.
