Description
The Sons of Liberty Gun Works M4-L89 is built around the professional end user — someone who runs an AR-15 hard and expects it to hold up without babying. This is not a range curiosity; it is a working carbine designed to be configured, carried, and trusted.
The mid-length gas system is the right choice for a 14.5-inch barrel because it spreads the dwell time and gas impulse across a longer stroke than a carbine system would, reducing the sharpness of felt recoil and easing the mechanical stress on the bolt carrier group over sustained use. That translates to a rifle that cycles more smoothly and stays on target between shots.
The L89 Drivelock handguard runs 13.75 inches and uses seven-sided M-LOK slots rather than a continuous rail, keeping weight down while giving you consistent attachment points for lights, lasers, and support accessories wherever you need them. Integral steel QD cups are built into both sides of the handguard, so sling attachment doesn’t depend on an add-on that can work loose. The extended steel barrel nut provides a more rigid lockup between the handguard and upper receiver than a standard nut allows.
The Liberty 2-Stage trigger gives a cleaner break than a mil-spec single-stage without requiring the shooter to adapt to a dramatically different pull weight — useful when you need precision under time pressure. The ambidextrous selector and the Liberty Charging Handle round out the control package for left- and right-handed use alike. The 9-position A5 receiver extension accommodates a wider range of stock positions and buffer weights than a standard carbine tube, and each rifle is individually built and test-fired at the SOLGW facility before it ships. The muzzle device is the ASR flash hider, pinned and welded to the barrel. One 30-round magazine is included.
