Description

The H6Xi is built for hunters and precision riflemen who need a single optic that performs from close-range tracking at dawn to long-distance shots at last light. It draws its optical and mechanical DNA from Steiner’s T6Xi tactical line, then tunes that foundation toward field use — a scope designed around demanding hunts rather than bench work or competition formats.

The first-focal-plane layout is the core mechanical decision here. Because the reticle scales with the image as magnification changes, every holdover hash and wind-drift mark on the MHR reticle reads correctly at any power setting. There is no mental arithmetic required to convert subtensions when you dial up or back down — the scope does it automatically through optics alone. That matters most when conditions change quickly and you cannot afford to re-verify your holds.

The MHR reticle itself is designed around two distinct use modes. At lower magnification the duplex crosshair geometry allows fast target acquisition without clutter. Zoomed in, illuminated holdover markers become visible and usable for bullet-drop and wind corrections at distance. The illumination runs on a CR2032 battery and is controlled by a rotary dial. A locking diopter lets you dial in your personal reticle focus and secure it against accidental movement in the field.

The tube body is milled from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, nitrogen-filled for internal fog prevention, and sealed against water. Side focus parallax adjustment runs down to 25 yards, which extends the scope’s useful range well inside typical rifle distances. At 28.1 ounces, it is a meaningful but not unusual weight for a 5-30×50 platform of this construction standard. Assembled in the USA.
