Description

The Strike Switch is Strike Industries’ ambidextrous safety selector for the AR-15, built around a patent-pending modular design that prioritizes fast, confident manipulation without forcing the shooter to break grip. The core idea is a toggle action: rather than a standard rotary lever that demands a deliberate thumb sweep, the Switch is shaped so that engaging safe is a natural motion from a firing hold, reducing the hand movement required when transitioning between positions.

The throw angle is end-user configurable. The selector can be set to either 60 or 90 degrees depending on the shooter’s preference — shorter throws suit those who want quicker transitions, while the full 90-degree position more closely mimics mil-spec geometry for anyone already trained to that standard. The lever arm doubles as a thumb rest and index point in both the fire and safe positions, which adds passive feedback about selector state without having to look at the rifle.

Configuration options extend further: the same selector can be run left-hand only, right-hand only, or fully ambidextrous, so it adapts to the build rather than requiring a separate purchase for each setup. When running a single-sided configuration, a cover button fills the open shaft end. The levers are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum to keep weight down, while the safety shaft itself is machined from high-strength steel to handle the mechanical stress of repeated cycling. The finish is a hardcoat anodize in black. One practical note: the shorter paddle’s profile may be partially obstructed by the safety stop nubs on standard mil-spec receivers, so it works best on billet or other receivers without those protrusions.
