Description

The SureFire EDC1-DFT Turbo is a compact handheld flashlight built around a single purpose: pushing a tightly focused beam as far downrange as possible in a package small enough to carry every day. Where a wide flood beam serves close-quarters tasks, the EDC1-DFT’s precision-machined parabolic reflector concentrates output into a narrow hotspot that reaches out to 616 meters with the included SF18350 rechargeable battery — useful for scanning terrain, reading address numbers at distance, or making a positive identification before you close the gap.

The Dual Fuel design is a practical hedge against dead batteries. The SF18350 delivers the full 650-lumen, 95,000-candela output, but the light will also run on a common 123A lithium primary cell. Swapping to a 123A drops output to 350 lumens and 55,000 candela, which still covers most real-world tasks and means a readily available battery type can keep the light running when you haven’t had time to recharge. A low-output mode at 25 lumens stretches runtime to 11 hours and handles administrative work without blowing out your night adaptation.

The body is machined from aerospace aluminum and finished in Mil-Spec hard anodize — the same process specified for military equipment — which resists corrosion and abrasion without adding meaningful weight. Knurling on the body and tailcap keeps the light in hand when wet. The IPX7 waterproof rating means it can be submerged in a meter of water for thirty minutes without damage. The two-way clip allows bezel-up or bezel-down carry depending on your preference, and the tailcap click switch keeps operation straightforward under stress.
