The G2X Pro is SureFire’s most versatile entry in the G2 series, built for anyone who needs a single light that can handle both careful, close-up work and demanding high-output situations without carrying two separate tools. The dual-output design is the core of that usefulness: the low setting delivers enough light for map reading, gear organization, or moving through a dark space without killing your night adaptation or drawing unnecessary attention, while the high setting throws enough output to fully illuminate a room or push light down a long corridor. That range matters because a light stuck at one extreme is always a compromise.

The switching sequence is deliberate. A momentary press or full click of the tailcap starts you in low; returning to off and pressing again cycles to high. That means you default to the less revealing output first, which is a sensible discipline in field or tactical use. Momentary activation is available at either level, useful when you want light only for the instant you need it.

The body is Nitrolon polymer — SureFire’s own engineering-grade material — which keeps weight down without sacrificing the structural integrity that aluminum-only construction would provide. The bezel is aerospace aluminum, Mil-Spec hard-anodized, so the end that takes the most abuse is the toughest part of the light. O-ring and gasket sealing brings it to IPX7, meaning submersion to one meter is within spec. Two CR123A batteries are included, and the 123A format gives you a long shelf life alongside good cold-weather performance compared to alkaline cells.

At 4.4 ounces with batteries installed, it disappears in a jacket pocket or a kit bag and stays there until you need it.
