Description
The SureFire KM2-C is a bezel assembly designed for M600 Scout Light owners who want to add infrared capability to an existing body without replacing the entire unit. Rotating the bezel switches between white light and IR output — no filter swap, no tools, no separate mount. That on-the-fly selection makes it a practical choice for anyone running night vision who also needs a conventional white-light option on the same host.
The white-light output runs through a TIR lens, which shapes the beam into a pattern with a defined center hotspot and enough peripheral spill to maintain situational awareness at medium to longer ranges. This is a different trade-off from a pure thrower or a flood head: you get usable reach without sacrificing the surrounding field of view that close-quarters or moving work demands.
The IR side delivers 120 mW of focused infrared illumination — meaningful output for passive night vision use, where the IR illuminator fills in what ambient light cannot. Runtime in IR mode is substantially longer than in white-light mode, which tracks with how the two spectrums are used in practice: white light for short, decisive moments; IR for sustained low-signature operations.
The body is machined from aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec Hard Anodized finish, the same construction standard SureFire applies across its weapon-mounted line. This tan variant carries the KM2-C-TN part number. Note that the KM2-C is not compatible with M600DF bodies — it is designed for standard M600 Scout Light hosts running two 123A batteries.
