Description

The SureFire KM1-E is a bezel assembly designed for owners of legacy M300 Mini Scout Light® bodies — specifically the M300A, B, and C — who want to add infrared capability without replacing the entire weapon light. Swapping the head converts an older single-spectrum light into a dual-spectrum system that covers both visible white light and IR illumination from a single CR123A battery.

The two spectrums are selected by rotating the bezel, which means you can switch on the fly without swapping filters or any additional hardware. White light output sits at 250 lumens, shaped by SureFire’s proprietary TIR lens into a beam pattern that balances a focused center hotspot with enough surrounding spill to keep peripheral awareness intact — useful when the target distance varies and you need the beam to do more than one job. IR output is 100 mW, also TIR-focused, which gives the infrared beam the same reach-and-spill character rather than a narrow spot.

The body is machined from aerospace aluminum and finished in a Mil-Spec hard-anodized coating — in this case the tan variant. That finish resists corrosion and abrasion without adding meaningful weight; the complete assembly with battery checks in at 1.28 oz. The window is tempered glass. At 1.78 inches in length, the KM1-E adds almost nothing to the overall footprint of the host light, which matters when rail space and weapon balance are already carefully managed. IR runtime stretches to six hours, significantly longer than the 1.5-hour high-output white light runtime, reflecting the lower power draw of the IR LED at that output level.
