Description
The SureFire M640DF Scout Light Pro in Flat Dark Earth is a weapon-mounted light built for shooters who need dependable, high-output illumination in close- to longer-range conditions without being locked into a single power source. The dual-fuel design is the core of what makes this light practical in the field: it runs on the included SF18650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery at full output, or on two 123A lithium primaries when a recharge isn’t an option. That flexibility matters on an extended deployment or in a training environment where battery logistics vary.
Output shifts with battery choice. The SF18650 drives the LED to 1,500 lumens with a peak beam intensity of 16,000 candela and a usable throw of 250 meters. Dropping to 123A batteries steps that back to 1,200 lumens, 12,800 candela, and a 220-meter beam distance — still substantial, but worth knowing when you’re choosing your loadout. The Total Internal Reflection lens shapes a hybrid beam that balances a defined hotspot for positive target identification at distance with enough spill light to keep situational awareness intact at close range.
The Low-Profile Mount gives the light more positioning flexibility than a fixed-offset mount allows, letting you shift it along the rail to work cleanly alongside a laser aiming module or other accessories. It accepts both MIL-STD-1913 and M-LOK rails with the included hardware. The body is machined from aerospace aluminum, finished in Mil-Spec hard anodize, and O-ring sealed to IPX7. At 5.5 ounces with batteries installed, it adds meaningful capability without significant weight penalty.
