Description

The SureFire Z68 is a replacement and upgrade tailcap designed for Scout Light WeaponLights and any SureFire flashlight with a 3/4-inch diameter switch body. Its primary purpose is straightforward: give you reliable, repeatable activation while reducing the chance of the light switching on when you don’t want it to.

The switch provides two distinct activation modes. A partial press produces momentary-on output — useful when you want light only for as long as you hold pressure. Pressing further until it clicks locks the light into constant-on, and a second click turns it off. That two-stage travel means momentary use stays genuinely momentary without the light accidentally latching on during movement or a weapon transition.

A raised guard surrounds the push-button and acts as the first mechanical barrier against unintended activation. Beyond that, a dedicated lock-out function positively disables the switch for transport or storage, so the light cannot fire even under sustained pressure on the cap.

The Z68 is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished with a Mil-Spec hard-anodize, which gives the surface meaningful abrasion resistance without adding significant weight or bulk. The black version listed here matches SureFire’s standard Black finish used across the Scout Light line, so the cap integrates visually and dimensionally with existing setups.
