Description

The X300V-B is SureFire’s dual-spectrum weapon light built for operators who work in both ambient and night-vision environments. The core design decision here is the integration of white-light and infrared LEDs into a single sealed housing rather than requiring a separate IR filter or a second dedicated device. That matters practically: swapping between a 350-lumen white beam and a 120-milliwatt, 860-nanometer IR output is handled by a no-look, self-locking selector ring, so the transition happens without breaking grip or looking down at the light.

The IR output is invisible to the naked eye, which means it works with night vision devices without giving away a visible signature to anyone not equipped with NVDs. The white-light side throws a TIR-shaped beam tuned for close- to medium-range use, with enough focused reach to affect an aggressor’s dark-adapted vision while still providing enough surround light for peripheral awareness. The 13,000-candela peak beam intensity drives a usable beam distance of 228 meters.

The body is machined from aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard anodized finish and is rated IPX7 for water ingress, meaning the sealed unit can handle immersion. It attaches via a T-slot thumbscrew clamp that fits both pistol rails and long gun rail sections without requiring additional adapters. Switching is fully ambidextrous, with both momentary and constant-on operation available. Power comes from two CR123A lithium batteries, which sustain the white-light output for 2.5 hours or the IR output for 16.75 hours — a significant runtime difference that reflects how much less power the IR LED demands at operational intensity.
