Description

The Timney Alpha Competition is a drop-in replacement trigger designed for shooters who want meaningful performance gains from their Glock Gen 3 or Gen 4 pistol without sending it to a gunsmith. It fits the G17, G17L, G19, G22, G23, G24, G34, and G35 in Gen 3, and the G17, G19, G22, G23, G34, and G35 in Gen 4.

The trigger comes as a self-contained assembly, which means the critical components—the trigger bar and sear—arrive already fitted and tuned rather than requiring the shooter to source and fit individual parts. Both the trigger bar and sear receive a Teflon-nickel (NP3) coating, a process that reduces surface friction without adding dimensional thickness, so the geometry Timney set at the factory is the geometry you get when the trigger breaks. The result is a consistent, clean break rather than the staged, stacking feel common to stock Glock trigger groups.

The pull weight is set at three pounds, which is notably lighter than a standard Glock factory trigger. That reduction matters most during aimed fire at distance or in timed competition stages where a heavy, unpredictable break forces a shooter to consciously manage the trigger rather than focusing on the target. Three pounds is light enough to reward good technique but is worth considering against your intended use—this is a competition-oriented design, not a defensive carry trigger.

The straight aluminum trigger shoe is anodized and includes a safety blade. The trigger runs on all stock Glock internal springs and components, so you are not committed to sourcing proprietary replacements if a spring needs swapping down the line. Installation requires no permanent modification to the pistol.
