Description

The Timney Alpha Competition trigger with internal pivoting safety is built for Glock Gen 5 shooters who want a meaningful improvement over the factory trigger without abandoning the reliability the platform is known for. It fits directly into a stock Glock Gen 5 pistol using all factory Glock parts and springs, so there is no need to source a connector, spring kit, or other supporting components — and no gunsmithing is required for installation.

The trigger bar and spring receive an NP3 coating — a Teflon-nickel process — which reduces friction at the surfaces that matter most during the firing cycle. The result is a pull that breaks cleanly without the gritty staging that characterizes many factory striker-fired triggers. The 3-lb. pull weight sits in a useful range for competition, light enough to improve split times without pushing into territory where unintended discharges become a concern under stress.

The safety design here is the internal pivoting type, which sits inside the trigger shoe rather than as an external blade projecting from the face of the trigger. This gives the trigger a cleaner feel through the stroke, since the safety pivots with the trigger rather than deflecting independently. The trigger shoe itself is straight and machined from aluminum with an anodized finish. This trigger is intended for competition use with stock Glock pistols only and is not compatible with modified or non-standard builds.
