Description

The Timney 645C is a drop-in two-stage replacement trigger built for Ruger American Gen I centerfire rifles — the two-position safety variants. It suits bolt-action shooters who want a more deliberate, staged pull for precision work at the range or in a hunting context, where a predictable take-up before the break reduces the chance of disturbing the rifle during the final moments before the shot.

The two-stage design separates the pull into a defined first stage and a cleaner second stage. Taking up the first stage tells the shooter exactly where the break is coming, which is a meaningful mechanical advantage over a single-stage trigger when positions or time pressure vary. Both stages are independently adjustable, with a combined pull range spanning 1.5 to 3 pounds — enough range to tailor the trigger to a specific hold without pushing into unsafe territory for a field rifle.
