The TriggerTech AR-10 Duty trigger was developed directly from feedback provided by military and law enforcement operators who wanted the mechanical quality of TriggerTech’s AR line at a more practical price point, without sacrificing the characteristics that make a trigger trustworthy under stress. The result is a drop-in, single-stage unit built around a fixed 3.5 lb pull — a weight chosen deliberately for duty and field use, where a lighter setting introduces risk and a heavier one degrades shot calling under time pressure.
The central mechanism is TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology, which replaces the sliding sear contact found in conventional trigger designs with a rolling interface. Sliding friction is inherently inconsistent because lubricant viscosity, debris, and wear all change how much force is required at the moment of release; eliminating that variable is what makes the break repeatable shot to shot. Zero Creep Technology holds the trigger face stationary until that release point, so there is no pre-travel to manage or compensate for. The overtravel and reset figures are deliberately set slightly longer than TriggerTech’s competition-oriented offerings, a trade-off that gives the shooter a more pronounced reset signal under the heavier reset force operators asked for — useful when speed and positive confirmation matter more than a hair-trigger feel.
Key internal components are machined from 440C stainless steel and finished with a Physical Vapor Deposition coating, which bonds a hard black layer directly to the metal surface rather than painting over it. The housing is EZAC diecast. The unit fits standard AR-10 platforms using the MIL-SPEC 0.154-inch pin configuration. Trigger pins are not included.
