The TriggerTech AR-15 Two-Stage Duty is built for environments where a trigger failure is not an option — close-quarters work, law enforcement use, and demanding field conditions that would punish a less robust design. The fixed 3.5 lb pull is a deliberate choice: where an adjustable trigger might drift under hard use or temperature swings, the Duty’s non-adjustable weight stays exactly where TriggerTech set it at the factory.

The two-stage architecture matters here because it separates shooter intent from the firing event. The first stage takes up slack and gives a clear mechanical cue that the shot is imminent; the second stage breaks cleanly with what TriggerTech calls Zero Creep — meaning the shoe does not travel before the sear releases. That absence of pre-travel in the second stage is what allows a shooter to hold a sight picture without disturbing it during the break. The overtravel is a short 0.060 inches, and the reset comes at 0.070 inches — short enough that follow-up shots require almost no forward movement of the finger.

TriggerTech’s FLTWR technology and TKR technology work together inside the housing: FLTWR addresses the spring dynamics that typically cause grit in the pull, while TKR contributes to the consistency of the break. The housing itself is cast from EZAC, a zinc-aluminum alloy chosen for its dimensional stability, while the key internal components are 440C stainless steel finished in PVD Black — a Physical Vapour Deposition coating that bonds to the metal surface for corrosion resistance rather than sitting on top of it like a paint. The traditional curved shoe fits the standard 0.154-inch mil-spec trigger pin pattern, so it drops into any AR-15 lower built to that specification without modification.
