Description

The TriggerTech AR-9 Duty is built around feedback from military and law enforcement operators who needed the reliability of a zero-creep break without the light, hair-trigger feel that can work against shooters in high-stress or dynamic environments. TriggerTech’s answer was to significantly increase both the pull weight and the length of the first stage relative to their competition-oriented designs, producing a trigger that communicates more clearly through the finger before the break — useful in close-quarters or field contexts where deliberate trigger control matters more than raw split-time.

The break itself is governed by TriggerTech’s Zero Creep technology, which uses a frictionless roller-cam system to eliminate the spongy take-up that characterizes most mil-spec triggers while still keeping the pre-break feel substantial enough to prevent inadvertent discharges. Reset is engineered to be more forceful than on TriggerTech’s lighter pull designs, giving tactile confirmation that the trigger has fully reset — an important distinction for shooters running pistol-caliber platforms at higher round counts. The 3.5 lb pull weight is fixed; there is no adjustment, which removes the possibility of field creep on the setting over time.

Internal components are machined from 440C stainless steel and treated with a PVD Black finish — Physical Vapor Deposition, a hard-surface process that bonds directly to the metal rather than sitting on top of it, resisting the kind of wear and corrosion that degrades trigger feel in harsh operating conditions. The housing is EZAC diecast. The trigger indexes off standard 0.154-inch mil-spec trigger pins, making it a direct drop-in for AR-9 lower receivers that use that pin spacing. Trigger pins are not included.
