Description

The TriggerTech Primary is a single-stage replacement trigger designed for the Remington 700 platform, suited to precision rifle shooters, competitive shooters, and hunters who want a cleaner, more consistent break than the factory trigger delivers. It fits right-hand 700 actions and installs without gunsmithing, making it a practical upgrade rather than a custom-shop commitment.

The pull weight adjusts continuously between 1.5 and 4.0 pounds using a hex key from underneath the housing, so you can dial in a weight appropriate to your application — lighter for bench or long-range precision work, heavier if the rifle sees rough field conditions where an inadvertent discharge is a real concern. That adjustment range covers most practical uses without requiring a separate trigger for different roles.

TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology — referred to internally as TKR and CLKR — eliminates the sliding friction contact found in conventional sear designs. Instead of one surface dragging across another until it releases, the mechanism pivots, which means the pull character stays consistent from the first shot to the last and does not change meaningfully as components wear. Zero Creep is built in, and overtravel is held under 0.015 inches, keeping the trigger from moving excess distance after the shot breaks.

The housing is machined from 7075 aluminum, and the key internal components are 440C stainless steel. External stainless parts carry a PVD Black coating — Physical Vapour Deposition — which bonds at the surface level rather than sitting on top of it, giving durable corrosion and abrasion resistance without adding meaningful thickness.
