The TriggerTech Duty for the Remington 700 was developed in direct response to feedback from military and law enforcement shooters who needed a more reliable, cost-accessible alternative to the standard factory trigger without sacrificing the internal quality of TriggerTech’s established Performance Line. The result is a trigger that shares its stainless-steel sear and internal components with that higher-tier lineup, meaning the mechanics governing reset, break, and ignition reliability are not compromised to reach the Duty’s price point.

Where cost reduction does appear is in the housing. TriggerTech moved to a die-cast EZAC alloy construction, a process that uses raw material more efficiently and reduces machining time compared to fully machined housings. For a duty or field rifle that will take hard use, this is a reasonable trade — the housing bears no part of the firing cycle’s critical load, which falls entirely on those stainless internals.

The trigger shoe is curved and configured for right-hand operation. TriggerTech’s Zero Creep Technology eliminates the staged take-up feel common in mil-spec and factory bolt-action triggers; the break happens at the wall with no discernible movement beforehand, which matters most for precision shooting where trigger manipulation is a significant variable. Overtravel is held under 0.0030 inches, keeping rearward movement after the break short enough that it does not disturb the follow-through. This is a single-stage, non-adjustable pull, which keeps the trigger consistent across all conditions without the risk of a field adjustment drifting out of safe range. This variant ships without a bolt release.
