Description
The TriggerTech Special is a drop-in replacement trigger for Tikka T3, T3x, and T1x rifles, aimed at hunters and precision shooters who want a cleaner break without sending the action to a gunsmith. This variant is configured for left-hand shooters and fitted with a Pro-Curve lever in black PVD finish.
The central engineering argument here is Zero Creep Technology™, which achieves a true zero-creep break through a roller-assisted frictionless engagement rather than relying on surface polishing or lubrication between sear surfaces. That distinction matters in practice: polished or coated surfaces wear differently over time, meaning the pull character changes. A roller-based interface keeps the engagement geometry consistent across a high round count, so the pull you set is the pull you keep.
Pull weight is adjustable across a 1.0 to 3.5 lb range, which covers the gap between a hunting trigger that still has enough resistance to carry safely in the field and a target-weight setting suited to deliberate, supported shooting. The reset is short, and over-travel is controlled, which matters most when follow-up shots or rapid andling precision are part of the equation.
Internal components are hardened 440C stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance in wet or humid conditions — a practical consideration for a trigger that may see seasons of field use rather than just range time. Installation is drop-in, requiring no permanent modification to the Tikka action. CLKR Technology provides audible and tactile reset confirmation.
