Description

The Unity Tactical FAST FTC Magnifier Mount is built for shooters who run a full kit — helmet, electronic earpro, communications headsets, or night vision — and need their magnifier at a height that actually works with that gear. Standard-height mounts force an awkward head-down position when you’re wearing anything substantial; raising the optical centerline to 2.26 inches lets you acquire a sight picture without breaking your posture or fighting your equipment.

The more consequential design choice here is the Flip-To-Center mechanism rather than the conventional flip-to-side approach. When you flip a traditional magnifier out of the way, it swings laterally and hangs off the side of the rifle — a real snag hazard against body armor, door frames, and vegetation. The FTC mechanism instead folds the magnifier back over the receiver, keeping everything within the weapon’s footprint. The optic stows without occluding the host red dot’s sight picture and without creating a profile wider than the gun itself. Transitioning back is controlled by a force-to-overcome detent, so it’s deliberate rather than accidental.

The mount is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing, which is the same material and process specification common to mil-spec rifle components — hard, corrosion-resistant, and matte enough not to create reflections. An integrated QD auto-lock lever lets you pull the entire assembly without tools. At 4.4 ounces, it adds meaningful but not excessive weight to the front end. It’s designed around 30mm magnifiers, with particular compatibility noted for Aimpoint’s 3XMag-1 and 3X-C.
