UNITY FAST MICRO-SB DUTY/COMPM5S FDE

Description

The Unity Tactical FAST Micro-SB in FDE is built around a specific problem: most standard-height red dot mounts force a head-down, chin-to-stock posture that slows target acquisition and creates difficulty when running passive night vision or working behind a gas mask. By raising the optic’s centerline to 2.26 inches above the rail, this mount allows a more upright, heads-up position that suits the way a carbine is actually used in dynamic or low-light environments rather than at a bench.

The mount is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hardcoat anodize in FDE. That construction keeps weight low while providing a finish hard enough to resist the kind of contact wear that accumulates on a working carbine. The fully adjustable front and rear backup iron sights are integrated directly into the mount body rather than added as separate clamp-on units, so they take up no additional rail space and add no extra attachment points that can work loose. If the optic fails, the transition to BUIS requires no tool and no reconfiguration.

The Micro-SB footprint is designed specifically for the Aimpoint CompM5s and CompM5b, as well as the Aimpoint Duty RDS, and it interfaces directly with Unity’s own FAST FTC magnifier mounts. That compatibility means a magnifier can be added without a separate riser or adapter to reconcile height differences. The end result is a mount that makes deliberate trade-offs — committing to one optic family and one height standard in exchange for a simpler, more consistent system.
