Description

The Unity Tactical ModButton Lite is a remote activation switch built for shooters who run NATO Crane-spec laser aiming devices and need a cleaner, lower-profile solution than the factory pressure pads those lasers typically ship with. It is purpose-built for momentary-only operation, meaning the laser fires only while your finger is actively pressing the button — there is no toggle or constant-on mode. That single design choice prevents unintended emission and keeps battery drain entirely under the shooter’s control.

The switch body is injection-molded from impact-resistant polymer and fully potted, which seals the internal components against moisture and debris without adding meaningful weight. The 7-inch cable gives you enough reach to route the switch to a comfortable thumb or index-finger position on most standard-length handguards without strain or awkward bends in the lead. The MIL-STD Crane plug mates directly to compatible laser ports from manufacturers including L-3, Steiner, and B.E. Meyers, so no adapters are needed for those platforms.

Where the original ModButton integrates its own rail mount, the ModButton Lite separates the switch from the mount entirely. It attaches to a Mil-Std M1913 Picatinny rail section and is also compatible with UNITY’s LINK System, which lets the switch share real estate with a light control on the same rail segment. The ModButton Lite also works with the UNITY GASCAP USB-C Tailcap for setups that combine light and laser management on one cable run. Optional M-LOK mounting hardware is sold separately if your handguard does not have a Picatinny section at the preferred switch location.
