Description
The Wilson Combat ACP Commander is a serious carry and competition 1911 built for shooters who want a handgun they can rely on without hand-fitting it themselves. The Commander-length format has always been the practical middle ground of the 1911 family — shorter than a Government model for easier concealment and all-day carry, yet long enough that the single-action trigger and grip geometry remain fully intact. Wilson Combat offers this one in 9mm because the cartridge pairs well with the platform’s weight and sight radius, producing milder recoil impulse than .45 ACP while still feeding reliably through a properly tuned feed ramp.
The glass bead-blasted stainless finish reduces glare compared to a polished surface and resists corrosion without requiring the same maintenance attention as a blued carbon-steel pistol. Gray G10 Eagle Claw grips provide positive purchase under the hand without tearing up a cover garment, and the Eagle Claw treatment on the frame does the same work at the edges. The contoured magazine well speeds reloads without the bulk of a flared funnel, and the medium pad trigger gives a consistent reference point for the trigger finger across different grip pressures. The Battlesight rear and fiber optic front sight combination gives a fast, high-visibility sight picture in varied lighting — the fiber optic draws the eye to the front where it belongs, while the Battlesight’s wide rear notch avoids the fine alignment work that target sights demand under stress. Each pistol ships with two ten-round magazines.
