The YHM sRx Short Flash Hider is built for shooters who run a suppressor regularly and want a mounting solution that stays out of the way. It is part of Yankee Hill Machine’s sRx (Suppressor Rx) System, which means it is not a standalone flash hider in the traditional sense — it functions as the host muzzle device that mates with the sRx Hub Adapter (YHM-4400), and that pairing is required for the system to work. The adapter threads onto your barrel permanently; the flash hider then locks to it via a 1-3/8″ x 24 hub interface shared across YHM’s suppressor lineup.

What makes the taper-lock interface worth understanding is what it replaces. Conventional quick-detach mounts rely on springs, levers, or ratcheting cams — components that wear, loosen under heat, or require torque checks. The sRx design uses a large internal taper ahead of the threads to pull the device into consistent registration every time it is attached, with no shimming or timing to the barrel needed. A taper seal at that junction also limits carbon migration onto the mating threads, which keeps the interface cleaner over extended use.

The short form factor is the other deliberate trade-off here. At 1.8125 inches overall, it adds roughly 1.175 inches to your muzzle when mounted on a barrel with standard thread length, which keeps the suppressor sitting as close to the muzzle as the design allows.
