Description

The sRx Short Flash Hider is built for the shooter who runs a suppressor regularly and wants a mount that gets out of the way — visually and mechanically. Threading onto your barrel at 5/8″-32, it becomes a fixed part of the host and pairs exclusively with the YHM sRx Adapter (YHM-4400), which then accepts a compatible YHM suppressor. That two-piece arrangement keeps the muzzle device itself compact: at 1.8125 inches in total length, it adds only 1.175 inches beyond the muzzle on a barrel with standard 0.6-inch threads, so a shorter host stays short.

The design eliminates the need to shim or time the device to the barrel. A large internal taper ahead of the threads is what does the work: it provides a repeatable, consistent seating point every time the suppressor is removed and reattached, so index doesn’t depend on packing washers or careful torque management. That same taper forms a seal that limits carbon and gas migration onto the mating threads — which matters when you’re pulling a suppressor off a hot barrel and want clean threads underneath.

There are no moving parts, no detent springs, no locking levers. The sRx system trades the mechanical complexity of traditional quick-detach interfaces for a geometry-driven taper lock, which simplifies both field use and long-term maintenance. The device is machined from 4140 steel and finished in Black Oxide, a pairing that keeps weight down while holding up to the heat cycles that come with suppressed fire on a .308 or 7.62 NATO host.
