Description

The Yankee Hill Machine Diamond Series forearm is built for AR-15 owners who want a full-length Picatinny rail system without sacrificing cooling or adding unnecessary bulk. The mid-length configuration is particularly well-suited to shooters running a mid-length gas system, where the longer dwell time compared to a carbine setup translates to a smoother, more progressive push on the bolt carrier — and a handguard of this length lets you take advantage of that setup without cutting your sight radius short.

The defining visual feature is the diamond-shaped vent pattern machined into the body, which serves a functional purpose: it opens up surface area along the forend to let heat dissipate after sustained fire while keeping material where structural rigidity matters. The entire forearm and barrel nut are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a hard-coat anodize to military specifications, giving the metal meaningful resistance to wear and corrosion without the extra weight of steel construction. The jam nut and anti-rotation screws are steel, matte black plated to match.

The top rail is extended to bridge the gap between the upper receiver and the handguard body, so optics and offset accessories mount without interruption. Side and bottom rails are marked with “T” indicators so you can note and return to specific accessory positions. Installation hardware — barrel nut, jam nut, anti-rotation screws, and instructions — is included. The forearm also accepts YHM end caps if you want a finished look at the muzzle end. Shooters running a YHM low-profile gas block, such as the YHM-9383 or YHM-9384, can conceal it fully beneath this forearm, which extends the sight radius and cleans up the profile over a carbine-length gas system.
