Description
The GBRS Group Lerna Mount Kit is built for shooters who run optics under demanding conditions — specifically those using hearing protection with communications systems, gas masks or CBRN gear, or night vision devices. In those setups, a standard-height mount forces an awkward head position that compromises both comfort and situational awareness. The Lerna addresses this by raising the Aimpoint Micro T-2 to a 2.91-inch optic centerline, which lets the shooter maintain a more upright, heads-up stance rather than driving their cheek aggressively into the stock to find a sight picture through low-mounted glass.
That raised centerline is not simply a comfort feature. When your head stays level and your spine stays vertical, your body armor is properly oriented and your field of view — both through the optic and around it — opens up considerably. For anyone regularly working in a helmet and headset, the difference between hunting for a sight picture and acquiring it immediately is not trivial.
This variant is finished in Cerakote Flat Dark Earth and fitted specifically for the Aimpoint Micro T-2 footprint. The kit ships with the tools required for installation, and the mount itself is marked with a recommended torque value of 45 in-lb so there is no guessing at proper tightening. GBRS Group manufactures this in the United States and it is Berry Amendment compliant. The Lerna is a purpose-specific solution for a specific problem — if your setup matches the conditions it was designed around, it solves them cleanly.
