Description

The Geissele Super Duty Takedown Pin Set is a straightforward upgrade for shooters who want to address one of the more overlooked weak points on a mil-spec AR-15 lower: the standard carbon steel takedown and pivot pins. Mil-spec pins are functional, but they are susceptible to surface corrosion over time, particularly on rifles that see hard use in wet or humid conditions. Machining these pins from stainless steel removes that vulnerability without requiring any modification to the receiver.

The fit is mil-spec, meaning these drop into any standard AR-15 lower without fitting or adjustment. The checkered head provides a positive grip when pushing the pins in or out, and the flat opposite face keeps the profile clean without the bullet-tip divots found on some other designs. Each set includes both the pivot pin and the takedown pin, along with two detents and two detent springs, so you have everything needed for a complete replacement rather than hunting down hardware separately.
