Description

The HD-50 Arca Spec QD is built around a specific use case: supporting .50 BMG rifles and heavy extreme long-range platforms where recoil forces and rifle weight would stress a standard bipod beyond its design limits. Accu-Tac addressed that by enlarging the arm lock lugs compared to their lighter models, giving the joint the mechanical advantage it needs to survive repeated heavy recoil without working loose over time.

The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with high-strength steel hardware at the stress points — a combination that keeps weight reasonable without sacrificing the rigidity that ELR shooting demands. The center hub is wider than on the lighter HD series bipods, which adds both lateral stiffness and a lower center of gravity when the legs are extended.

Leg positions are genuinely practical here: four individual positions per leg and five height steps give you a wide range of field adjustments without requiring tools or a complete leg swap. The cant mechanism includes a throw lever with adjustable tension, so you can dial in how freely the rifle tilts and lock it solid when the position is set — or reposition the lever itself to clear a stock or chassis. The Quick Detach Arca Spec mount clamps directly to any Arca-compatible rail, eliminating the need for a separate sling stud adapter and keeping the attachment point rigid under the forces a .50 BMG generates at the bipod interface.
