Description
Most Accu-Tac bipods are designed to mount via a Picatinny rail, which creates an obvious problem on rifles that carry only a sling stud under the forend. The Sling Stud Rail Adapter (SSRA-200) solves that by converting a standard sling stud attachment point into a 1913 Picatinny rail section, letting you run an Accu-Tac bipod on any rifle with a sling stud without drilling, tapping, or permanently modifying the stock.
The adapter is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum alloy with stainless steel hardware. That material pairing keeps weight down where the body sees light mechanical stress, while the stainless hardware handles the clamping loads at the stud interface without the corrosion risk of bare steel in a contact point that sees weather. The Type III hard anodize coating — the same mil-spec standard used on military aluminum components — adds a wear-resistant skin that resists scratching from the bipod’s mounting foot and protects the base aluminum from surface oxidation over time. The finish is Flat Black, which reduces glare and matches typical rifle furniture.
At 2.8 inches long by 1.4 inches wide, the rail section is proportioned to seat a bipod securely without overhanging the forend in a way that would interfere with a standard sling stud swivel if you choose to run one elsewhere on the rifle. All hardware needed for installation is included in the package.
