AM DEF AD-B2 CNTLVR MINI ACOG 1.54″

Description

The American Defense Mfg. AD-B2 is a cantilever QD mount built for shooters who run mini prism optics on AR-pattern rifles and find themselves fighting eye relief with a standard flat-top setup. The root problem it solves is geometric: mini ACOGs and similar compact prisms were designed with a specific eye relief window, and mounting them directly on the rail without any rearward offset often puts that window well forward of where your eye naturally lands. The AD-B2 pushes the optic back three-quarters of an inch, bringing it rearward toward the shooter without requiring the rear iron sight to come off the rail.

The 1.54-inch optical centerline height clears most backup iron sights and gas blocks, and it matches the cheek weld geometry that AR shooters are already accustomed to with standard-height mounts. Because the mount is a one-piece cantilever rather than a two-ring assembly, there is no risk of misalignment between a front and rear ring during installation. American Defense machines the body from 6061-T6 aluminum and applies a hardcoat anodized finish — the same MIL-SPEC treatment used on the receivers of the rifles this mount typically lives on.

The lever system is American Defense’s patented QD Auto Lock design. It does not require tools: a finger or a flat-blade screwdriver is enough to adjust clamping tension, and the lever itself can be configured to index forward or rearward depending on your preference and what else is on the rail. The mechanism is engineered to return to zero when remounted to the same rail position, which matters if you swap the optic between rifles or store it separately. Compatible optics include Trijicon Mini-ACOGs such as the TA33 and TA44, as well as Primary Arms GLx 2x, SLx 1x, and SLx 3x mini prism models. Standard full-size ACOG models are not compatible.
