Description

The American Defense Mfg. AD-B2 is a cantilever mount built specifically for Mini ACOG and compact prism optics—the kind of scopes, like the Trijicon TA33 and TA44 or the Primary Arms GLX and SLX series, that sit short and low when mounted directly on a rail. That direct mounting position forces the shooter’s head uncomfortably forward to find the eye box. The AD-B2 solves this by shifting the optic rearward by 0.75 inches through a reverse cantilever geometry, bringing the eyepiece back toward the shooter without repositioning the entire optic on the rail.

The 1.93-inch mount height does more than clear iron sights. At that elevation, the sight line is high enough to support a more upright, heads-up shooting posture—useful on a patrol-style rifle where situational awareness matters. The trade-off is that absolute co-witness with standard-height irons is not the geometry this height is designed around; it fits a shooting style, not a sighting convention.

Construction is 6061-T6 aluminum finished in Type III hard coat anodizing, which penetrates the surface rather than sitting on top of it, giving the finish meaningful resistance to wear at contact points. The locking mechanism uses American Defense Mfg.’s patented QD Auto Lock titanium lever, which latches positively without a separate locking step and returns the optic to zero reliably after removal. The one-piece design eliminates the ring-to-base interface that introduces slop in two-piece systems. Manufactured in the United States.
