Description

The American Defense Mfg. AD-DELTA is a quick-detach cantilever scope mount built for flattop AR-platform rifles running large-objective 34mm optics. The cantilever design shifts the scope 2 inches forward of the rail attachment point, which lets you achieve proper eye relief on an AR without compromising cheek weld or stock position—a geometry problem that a standard straight mount cannot solve on most AR builds.

The 1.70-inch centerline height keeps the optical axis high enough to clear full-sized charging handles and most rail-mounted accessories, and it accommodates lower-face cheek contact on rifles with fixed or mil-spec stock risers. Ring spacing of 4.4 inches distributes clamping force across a meaningful span of the scope body, reducing stress concentration at any single point on the tube.

Construction is precision-machined 6061-T6 aluminum finished in Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodize. Type III anodize is a harder, thicker coating than standard Type II, which matters on a mount that will be repeatedly attached and removed. The horizontal split-ring design lets you index scope rotation without disturbing the base-to-rail interface.

The Patented QD Auto Lock Lever is the central mechanical feature. It clamps to the Picatinny rail without any tools—a finger or flat-blade screwdriver is enough—and the lever can be configured to lock toward the front or the rear depending on your preference or rail clearance. Critically, the system is designed to function on both in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems, so slight dimensional variation in your lower receiver’s rail won’t require shimming or forced fit.
