Description
The American Defense Manufacturing AD-RMR Lightweight QD Mount is built for shooters running a Trijicon RMR, SRO, or any red dot sharing that footprint on an AR pistol or similarly compact platform where keeping weight down matters without giving up a repeatable return-to-zero. The mount is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, which keeps the overall weight low while still providing the rigidity needed to hold a zero through repeated attachment and removal cycles.
The finish is a hard coat Type 3 Mil-Spec anodize — not a standard commercial anodize — which means a harder, more abrasion-resistant surface that holds up to hard use and incidental contact without chipping or flaking down to bare metal. This particular variant pairs that construction with the Standard Legacy Lever and sits at standard mount height, producing absolute co-witness with iron sights on a standard AR flat-top receiver. That alignment puts your backup irons and the RMR dot in the same optical plane, so a transition from one to the other requires no shift in head position or focal adjustment.
The Patented QD Auto Lock Lever system is fully adjustable to close securely on both in-spec and out-of-spec Picatinny rails — a practical consideration given the variance that exists across rail manufacturers. The lever can be configured to lock toward the front or the rear of the mount depending on your preference and weapon layout. No proprietary tooling is required; the lever adjusts with a finger or a common flat-blade screwdriver. The one-piece construction eliminates the stacking tolerances introduced by separate base-and-ring designs, which directly supports consistent zero retention each time the optic is remounted.
