The UIC MOD2 is American Defense Mfg’s fully ambidextrous AR-15 built for shooters who want a compact, maneuverable rifle without giving up the handling qualities of a full-length platform. The ambidextrous control layout — bolt release, magazine release, and selector — means the rifle runs identically regardless of which hand is dominant, which matters in dynamic shooting situations where grip switches happen under pressure.

The 13.9-inch Criterion barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde, a chamber specification that sits between .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. That geometry allows the rifle to feed and fire both cartridges reliably while maintaining the tighter throat dimensions that favor accuracy with .223 SAAMI-spec ammunition — you get the flexibility of the military chamber without the pressure-curve compromise that comes with forcing .223 brass into a 5.56 leade.

The barrel is pinned with a SureFire WARCOMP muzzle device. The WARCOMP functions as a flash hider under normal use and doubles as the mounting interface for SureFire’s SOCOM suppressor line, so the rifle is already set up for that transition without requiring a thread adapter or barrel swap. At 13.9 inches the gas dwell time is tuned for a shorter gas system than a standard carbine, which keeps the bolt velocity in a range that works with the WARCOMP without excessive felt recoil or bolt carrier battering.

The M-LOK handguard gives the shooter a clean, low-profile forend with direct attachment points for lights, grips, and bipods at any position along the rail surface. The receiver is finished in black anodizing. A 30-round magazine is included.
