Description

The Arisaka Offset Scout Mount for Picatinny rails solves a specific problem: standard Picatinny rail adapters supplied with most Scout-style weapon lights sit the light body too far from the handguard, creating a bulky profile and shifting the light’s center of mass outward where it affects balance and snagging risk. This mount replaces that adapter with a low-profile interface machined from 6061-T6 aluminum that pulls the light body in tight against the rail surface.

When installed on a lateral Picatinny slot, the mount angles the light at 45 degrees, placing it at roughly the 1:30 or 10:30 clock position when oriented upward, or approximately 4:30 to 6:30 when oriented downward. That offset geometry lets you run a full-size Scout-pattern light — a SureFire M300 or M600 series, a Modlite PLH or OKW, an Arisaka 300 or 600 series, or a Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1, 2, or HL-X — in a position that clears thumb placement on the handguard and keeps the beam close to bore without pushing the light into a grip-interference zone. The mount offers four rotational positions, giving you meaningful adjustment to work around specific handguard geometries or shooter preference.

The finish is MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize, which is an electrochemical conversion rather than a paint or spray-on coating, so it won’t peel or chip under the friction of normal use. Installation requires a T27 and T20 Torx driver; neither is included. Arisaka specifies 30 inch-pounds for the clamping screw and 20 inch-pounds for the light body screws, applied with Loctite 222 or 243.
