Description
The Arisaka Offset Scout Mount is purpose-built for shooters running a SureFire Scout or compatible weapon light on an IWI Galil ACE Gen 2 or SIG Sauer MPX with an M-LOK handguard. Both of those platforms use side rail surfaces that sit at an angle relative to a conventional flat-sided handguard, and a standard inline mount fitted there would cant the light awkwardly. This mount solves that by introducing a 30-degree offset that compensates for the handguard geometry, so the light body sits parallel to the bore rather than cocked away from it, and the overall package rides tighter against the rail system instead of protruding outward.
When mounted to a side surface and oriented upward, the light ends up at roughly the 1:30 or 10:30 position — far enough off the top rail to clear a hand naturally, close enough to the bore axis that shadows are not a practical problem at typical engagement distances. To give shooters control over fore-aft positioning, the mount provides three lateral attachment positions for the light body, spanning a total of approximately 0.240 inches. That range lets you dial the light head closer to or farther from front sights and other accessories without swapping hardware.
Construction is CNC-machined 6061-T651 aluminum with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodized finish in black, and the mount ships with the screws needed to attach a compatible light body. Installation requires an IP20 TorxPlus driver, which is not included. Beyond the Galil and MPX, the mount also fits the Aero Precision Atlas R-One and S-One handguards. Compatible lights include the SureFire M300 and M600 families, Modlite PLH, PLHv2 and OKW, Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1, 2 and HL-X (non-laser), Olight Odin, Cloud Defensive REIN, and Arisaka 300, 600 and 18650 Series lights.
