Description

The Arisaka Defense Ring Light Mount gives rifle owners a straightforward way to run a handheld light on an M-LOK handguard without committing to a dedicated weapon light. The design is built around a vertical ring system that grips the light body rather than clamping a proprietary body or tail cap, which means the light can be pulled from the mount and used by hand without removing the mount from the handguard first — a practical consideration when a light serves double duty as both a weapon-mounted and standalone tool.

The ring accepts light bodies between 1.00″ and 1.03″ in diameter, a range that covers a wide selection of common handheld lights. The offset geometry of the mount is deliberate: it positions the light body laterally far enough to clear most front sights, so shooters on carbines with fixed or folding front sight posts do not have to choose between the mount and their irons. Arisaka’s own documentation notes that a 1.03″ body — the diameter of the SureFire G2 — clears the Magpul Gen 2 MBUS on a Noveske NSR handguard, one of the narrower handguards on the market at 1.48″ wide, which gives a reasonable floor for what the offset geometry can accommodate.

The mount is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished in a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard-coat anodize, a process that builds corrosion resistance into the surface layer rather than sitting on top of it. At one ounce, it adds minimal weight to the forend. Installation requires a 5/32″ Allen wrench and a T15 Torx driver. Made in the USA.
