Description

The BCM A/T Riser 525-13X5 is built for shooters who run a red dot alongside a magnifier, or who work in environments where a gas mask, night vision device, or other head-worn equipment pushes the eye farther from a conventionally mounted optic. By lifting the centerline of whatever sits on it by 0.525 inches, it brings lower-third optics to roughly 2.16 inches of height and absolute co-witness optics to roughly 1.93 inches — enough clearance to get a natural cheekweld while wearing PPE without forcing an awkward head position that costs time and accuracy.

At approximately 7-1/4 inches long, the riser provides enough rail space to stage a red dot on the main body and a magnifier on the cantilever section simultaneously, without either running out of room. The 13 recoil slots along the main body and 5 on the cantilever add up to 18 slots and 19 integral lugs — those lugs bear against the Picatinny rail and resist both recoil and counter-recoil impulse mechanically, rather than relying on clamp friction alone to hold zero.

The interface itself uses BCM’s A/T (Angled Torque) clamping geometry, where the clamp applies force at an angle rather than straight down. BCM states this produces roughly twice the clamping force at the same applied torque compared to a conventional horizontal interface — a meaningful difference when the platform sees hard use. The riser body is machined from aircraft aluminum alloy and hard coat anodized to Mil-A-8625F. The steel clamp is hardened with a Nitride coating. Mil-Std 1913 accessories can be mounted anywhere along the stalk, so the layout of optic and magnifier isn’t fixed — it can be dialed in to suit the shooter’s specific setup and reach.
