Description

Modern carbine technique has moved away from the bladed, elbow-out stance that the original M16 was designed around. Shooters now square up to the target, which places the wrist at an angle the standard A2 grip was never built to accommodate. The BCM Gunfighter Grip Mod 3 in Flat Dark Earth addresses that directly by reducing the grip angle relative to the bore axis, which takes strain off the wrist and makes trigger reach more natural when the body is oriented square to a threat.

The Mod 3 is the widest grip in the BCM Gunfighter line, running up to a quarter-inch broader than the Mod 0 and Mod 1 variants. That additional palm swell suits shooters with larger hands or those who find narrower grips tiring over extended use. An extended forward tang closes the gap between the trigger guard and the grip body, eliminating the exposed lower receiver edge that can press into the middle finger under recoil. The high-rise beavertail backstrap fills the space at the web of the hand, helping maintain consistent hand placement shot to shot.

Storage inside the grip is accessible through a hinged trap door sealed with a water-resistant rubber gasket — useful for a spare battery or a small amount of solvent-soaked patches. The grip is manufactured in the USA from impact-resistant polymer, and each unit is test-fit before leaving the factory to confirm proper seating on the lower receiver.
