Description
The BXR Carbon is Bergara’s semi-automatic rimfire rifle aimed at serious .22 LR shooters who want precision-grade construction rather than a budget plinker. It suits competitors running NRL22-style matches, suppressor-oriented shooters, and smaller-framed shooters who need a rifle that fits without buying a new stock.
The barrel is wrapped in carbon fiber rather than profiled steel, which keeps the rifle under five pounds without sacrificing the stiffness that matters for consistent point of impact as the barrel heats through a long string of fire. The 1-in-16 twist rate is well suited to standard and match-weight .22 LR ammunition in the 40-grain range; it is not optimized for heavier subsonic projectiles, so if your primary use is suppressed shooting with heavier loads, that is worth considering when selecting ammunition. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 so a suppressor mounts directly without an adapter.
The receiver carries an integral 30 MOA Picatinny rail rather than a flat zero rail. That forward cant means a scope zeroed at distance will use less of its internal elevation travel, which is meaningful for extended-range rimfire work where dialing up is common. The crossbolt safety is straightforward to operate under gloves or in field conditions. The stock includes removable spacers to adjust length of pull, giving shorter-framed shooters a genuine fit option rather than a compromise. The 10-round rotary magazine is compatible with Ruger 10/22 pattern magazines, so sourcing additional capacity is simple and inexpensive. Trigger pull runs approximately 3.5 pounds from the factory.
