The BoreSnake itself is a single-pass design: a bronze brush embedded near the front of the cord scrubs carbon and copper fouling from the bore as you pull it through, while the fabric tail that follows sweeps out loosened debris. That tail presents roughly 160 times the surface contact of a conventional cleaning patch, so a single deliberate pull does the work that would otherwise require multiple patches and a rod.
