Suppressors run hot, and that heat causes real problems during sustained or rapid fire — burns to hands, legs, and kit, plus heat mirage that throws off a precise shot. The Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover Heavy is built to address all of that in a single two-piece system sized for 1.5-inch diameter suppressors.

The outer shell is constructed from aerospace and military-grade fire-retardant materials, including DuPont Kevlar, which holds up to 1,000°F of continuous exposure — roughly equivalent to 180 rounds of M855 fired full-auto. That outer layer handles the radiated heat a shooter’s body and gear would otherwise absorb. Inside sits a replaceable fiberglass mesh inner liner rated to 2,000°F, which faces the suppressor surface directly. Because the liner can be swapped out independently, heat degradation over time doesn’t require replacing the entire cover, only the component that actually wears.

The cover is designed to run 0.5 inches longer than the suppressor itself — in this case fitting an 8-inch suppressor — so the excess material cinches at both the muzzle and the mount end, locking the cover in place without clamps or straps. Burn Proof Gear calls this the No-Slip Fit, and the geometry is what makes it work rather than any added hardware. Once installed on a 1.5-inch suppressor, overall diameter stays at or under 1.75 inches, which keeps the profile manageable in a sling or holster rig.
