Description
The Bushnell AR Optics TRS-26 is a closed-reflex red dot built for carbine and rifle use where fast target acquisition matters more than magnification. Running at 1x, it keeps both eyes open naturally, letting the shooter focus on the target rather than through the glass — a meaningful advantage in any situation where speed and situational awareness count.
The 26mm objective lens gives a generously wide sight window, which makes it easier to pick up the dot quickly when mounting the rifle under stress. The 3 MOA dot is small enough to preserve precision at distance while remaining visible against a target at closer range — a reasonable middle ground between the pinpoint dots suited to long-range work and the larger dots optimized purely for speed.
Battery life is rated at up to 50,000 hours on a single CR2032, which in practical terms means the sight can stay on indefinitely without meaningfully draining the battery. For shooters who prefer not to think about switching the optic off after each session, that figure removes the concern. A user-selectable auto-off timer is also available if you prefer to conserve power actively, and it can be defeated entirely if you want the sight always ready.
The unit ships on a Picatinny high-rise mount that is T1 compatible, placing the dot at a cheek weld height suited to AR-pattern rifles with standard stocks. Windage and elevation are each adjustable across 100 MOA of total travel in 1 MOA clicks, giving enough correction range for most mounting positions. The housing is O-ring sealed to IPX7, nitrogen purged against internal fogging, and rated shockproof for field use.
